Founding
Our community in Setterich has existed at the same location since 1978. Many know it as the "Mosque Wolfsgasse". At that time, the former gas station on site was converted into a mosque. In 1998, however, the building was demolished due to lack of space and a new building took its place, which could be occupied in 2002.
However, the entry in the register of associations was made much later in 2005 under the name "Türkischer Integrations- und Bildungsverein in Setterich e.V." (TIBVS).
The TIBVS is an independent, non-profit and non-partisan organization. It is a member of the Landesverband der Islamischen Kulturzentren Nordrhein-Westfalen e.V. The nationwide umbrella organization VIKZ is the oldest Islamic umbrella organization and was founded in 1973.
Activities
The TIBVS offers religious, cultural and social services. It guarantees Muslims the all-encompassing practice of religion and takes care of their religious concerns and needs.
With our social services, we enable people (with a migration background in particular) to participate in social life. With our activities we make a contribution to their integration and education.

Network
The peaceful coexistence in our city with mutual respect as well as the promotion of the common good are important principles in our daily work. We therefore maintain an exchange with our city and the city society.
We are a member of the Interessengemeinschaft Settericher Ortsvereine (IGSO) and organize various activities with mosques, churches, associations in the region and the Haus Setterich community center.
